This is an account of two unique springs and summers devoted to watching island colonies of breeding sea birds, day in day out and often by night - the first on Lundy from 20th March to 7th August, and the second on Noss in the Shetland Islands from 2nd April to 15th September. You will not find any comparable account anywhere in ornithological literature. In 'Watching Sea Birds' the main subjects are, on Lundy, the Kittiwake gulls and the Auks - the Guillemots, Razorbills and Puffins; and on Noss, the Gannets and the Great and Arctic Skuas, with additional material on the Kittiwakes, Guillemots and Puffins.
