Shipping policy

Shipping and handling costs are calculated by weight. We rely primarily on the United States Postal Service to deliver our packages. If you prefer a different carrier, such as UPS or FedEx, please contact us prior to placing your order to receive the current rates.

At checkout, you will be presented with standard or priority options for shipping, with the estimated number of business days for delivery. Note that these are estimates and we cannot guarantee a specific delivery date. If you do need to receive your order before a certain date, please reach out prior to placing your order so we can determine the best option.

Please double check your address for typographical errors, especially the zip code or postal code. Although we attempt to verify addresses, we can't catch everything, and we cannot be responsible for lost packages due to this type of error.

You will receive an email with tracking information for your shipment once it has been received by the carrier.

For international orders, you may be subject to taxes and/or duties levied by your province or country, and Buteo Books is not responsible for keeping up-to-date information for every country. If you refuse shipment because you are surprised by these taxes and duties, you are still liable to Buteo Books for outbound and return postage and any other costs we incurred in trying to fill your order.
