A good plus hardcover, bumped corners, starting at back inner hinge. Previous owners' names on feps. Translated from the Danish text published in 1916. With 2 plates in color and 140 photographs and text figures from drawings by the author. The first fliers were leather-winged pterodactyls, later came the true feather-winged birds. A reptilian lizard was the ancestor of the latter. The history of these strange creatures as presented in this book will prove interesting to scientists and the general public alike.
