Tom Cade (1928-2019) was ornithologist most notable for his efforts to conserve the peregrine falcon. Professor of Ornithology at Cornell, founder of the Peregrine Fund, and called "the father of peregrine falcon conservation" by the National Audubon Society. Each of his profiles in this book is accompanied by a beautiful and meticulously accurate painting by R. David Digby.
