This book records my experience of birds during many years in many lands and on many seas, my sole purpose being to bring to its reader’s notice the ways and habits of these beautiful creatures of the Almighty. I hope the work will be the forerunner of others dealing with Nature “like an open book,” uncomplicated by references to scientific theories as to the origin and distribution of species.
