This Dover edition, first published in 1986, is an unabridged republication of the work originally published by Houghton Mifflin 1922-1926. In this edition the original four volumes have been bound as two. All of the color plates are here reproduced in new color inserts, as well as appearing in black-and-white versions at or near their original locations.
