Jerry Coe is a naturalist and California State Park ranger working in China Camp State Park. In this talk hosted at Buteo Books, Jerry will share a slideshow presentation offering ideas and insights from his birding experience that are better suited to an indoor discussion than his guided walks in the field. You'll get recommendations for books, tools, gear, destinations, and other resources to help in your own birding journey, as well as hear some great stories.

More About Our Speaker
Jerry Coe is a naturalist and former mountaineering guide with over eight years of training in ornithological field identification under Professor Joseph Morlan at San Francisco City College. He spent 15 years doing field research in Great Basin, Nevada, doing point count surveys using bird activities to assess the health of habitats. He has led guided expeditions all over the world and is currently a California State Park ranger working in China Camp State Park.
