Author Event: The Birds in the Oaks
Friday, Oct 25, 2024 6:30 PM
With charm and delight, The Birds in the Oaks: Secret Voices of the Western Woods acquaints us with birds who burrow, forage, and soar among California’s keystone trees. Here's your opportunity to meet author Jack Gedney for an in-person introduction to Marin's woodland birds.
Jack will share a 45-minute illustrated presentation combining local insights and practical backyard tips, teaching you how to recognize, attract, and enjoy titmice, chickadees, nuthatches, woodpeckers, quail, and more. Following the presentation, he'll answer your questions and sign copies.
This event is free to attend. We appreciate your RSVP to be sure we set up enough chairs!
Jack Gedney is the co-owner of Wild Birds Unlimited in Novato, bird columnist for the Marin Independent Journal, author of the Private Lives of Public Birds, and our most lyrical wanderer of the woods.
You'll be able to purchase the book in-store. Or, order online now to secure your copy. Enter code RSVP at checkout to let us know you're coming (and to remove the shipping fee from your order.)
If you can't make it in-person, you can still get a signed copy! Place your order online and let us know in the comments section at checkout that you'd like it signed. We'll ship your order on October 26.
